Center
for Disaster Risk Management and Community Development Studies (CDRM & CDS)
merupakan satu departemen dari Universitas HKPB Nommensen. CDRM & CDS telah
mengembangkan strategi dan program untuk bekerja dengan berbagai
masyarakat di Sumatera Utara dan Sumatera Barat. Dalam mengembangkan strategi dan programnya,
CDRM & CDS berafiliasi dengan Lutheran World Federation yang berkantor
pusat di Geneva. Disamping itu, CDRM & CDS juga mendapatkan dukungan dana
bersama dari Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) dan Lutheran World
Relief (LWR). Ditingkat lokal, CDRM & CDS didukung oleh Gereja Lutheran
Indonesia dan departemen diakonia Gereja Lutheran Indonesia. Program CDRM & CDS berfokus pada
pengelolaan resiko bencana, pemberdayaan masyarakat dan penelitian. CDRM &
CDS bekerja pada 4 wilayah proyek,
yakni; Simalingkar Medan, Pulau Nias, Pakpak Bharat (Sumatera Utara) dan Kepulauan
Mentawai (Sumatera Barat). |
