Candidates should bear in mind that their employment with IOM will be subject to intensive 3 (three) week training, examination, and evaluation of their participation and performance in a Basic Training exercise. The means that candidates will not be employed as IOM staff during this training and will only receive a stipend to cover their local transport costs and incidentals. Candidates’ performance within structured group work and the overall achievement of their group will be just as important as their individual output/contribution .

General Functions : Working under the direct supervision of Field Coordinator and the overall supervision of the ICRS Project Manager in Banda Aceh, the incumbent will be responsible for information management at a designated field office. The incumbent is responsible for protecting and organizing client and project information at a designated field office, which includes methodically recording documents and related client and project information In particular s/he will:
Maintain and update client and project-related data to ICRS information management system; Ensure that all collected data are accurate and complies with IOM/ICRS standards; Ensure the confidentiality and the right to privacy is maintained with regard to client project files; Perform information backup and verification of back ups, log files etc. on a structured schedule as part of a database recovery/restore plan. Assist local partners working with the local ICRS information management system; 6. At the direction of the Database Development Assistant, maintain highly user-friendly and intuitive information system interface facilities driven through the use of simple and robust technology/software that enables users to rapidly enter reporting and monitoring data, and to subsequently query datasets and generate reports and related evaluative documentation. 7. Assisting with the gathering, collation and local analyses of monitoring and evaluation data.
Contributing to the overall design of ICRS information and application systems. Assisting with regular/periodic testing, maintenance and updating of information system(s) and related application systems. Assisting in the delivery of training to end-users to ensure regularized field reporting that can be directly input to the headquarter database. Any other tasks within the incumbent’s capacity as instructed.
Qualifications required: Minimum tertiary qualification of S1 in Information Technology or related discipline or a minimum of 2 years experience utilizing the specific knowledge, skills, techniques and products detailed hereunder, relevant experience and knowledge of relational database products such as Microsoft SQL Server 2000, MySQL and/or Oracle, experience and knowledge in the use of MS Windows-based software development platforms such as MS Visual Studio.
Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate high level of initiative, perseverance and professional commitment to achieve high-quality results, excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentational skills; efficiency, flexibility, ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from different cultures and professional backgrounds. Vocational knowledge of English, fluent in Indonesian. Acehnese/Gayonese/ Javanese/ Alas an advantage .
