A USAID sponsored project in agribusiness markets and support
activities seeks applicants for an Agriculture Specialist/RACA Assistant
(Regional Agribusiness Competitiveness Alliances) based in Bali. This position will be responsible to:
1.        Provide program management support for key Value Chain
interventions specifically in policy / regulatory strengthening; regional /
domestic market expansion; and industry competitiveness improvement
2.        Assist in establishing, identification, formation, and
strengthening of agribusiness associations capacity to voice and advocate
their common opinion and  interests, such as agriculture producers
organizations, federation of agribusiness associations, etc
3.        Help establish RACA or  forums of public-private dialogue on
creation of enabling environment for enhancing agribusiness
competitiveness in the region.
4.        Seek, establish, and maintain relations with public sector
institutions with linkages to the AMARTA value chain interventions, and
provide assistance to strengthen their linkage to private sector needs.
5.        Obtain periodic quantitative and qualitative data from VC
interventions in a timely manner, as well as descriptive reporting of
results.
6.        Collaborate with AMARTA¢s Agricultural Economics advisor and
in close coordination of the Head of AMARTA¢s Regional Office.

Qualification
She/he must have at least BS degree with 5 years experience in policy
advocacy, policy analysis, or community/organization empowerment, must
also have strong analytical and writing skill in the area of policy
related issues, clear vision on agribusiness competitiveness and enabling
environment, and high motivation to work for facilitating establishment,
empowerment and activation of regional agribusiness associations and
forums for public-private dialogue. 

Work load
Approximately 20 months for the remaining duration of the AMARTA
project. The position will be based in Bali, with traveling to Nusa Tenggara
and other cities as needed.
