The American Red Cross Tsunami Recovery Program (TRP) had been
established to direct the organization¢s response to the South Asia tsunami
disaster.
The TRP activities focus on integrated community recovery and
preparedness interventions in tsunami affected countries in Asia and
East Africa in collaboration with Red Cross and non-Red Cross partners.

The Indonesia TRP Delegation operates from offices in Banda Aceh
(main), Calang, Lamno, Sabang and Pulo Aceh. It also has liaison offices in
Jakarta, and other areas in Aceh province in collaboration with the
Indonesian Red Cross. The Indonesia TRP program has a budget of over $200m.
It commenced in May 2005 and will be completed by June 2010.
The American Red Cross seeks dynamic individuals to fill the
Administrative Assistant positions:
Admin Assistant for RWSS based Calang ( 1 position )
Specific DUTIES responsibilities and accountabilities :
Develop and maintain a file system for all water and sanitation program
information , contained electronically or physically in document
reports, correspondence or other written material; Maintain an inventory of
all watsan field equipment. It is essential to register the movement to
and the subsequent return from the field; Receive and distribute
correspondence on a daily basis, correctly operating internal routing slips,
in close collaboration with the Project Manager; Attend team meetings,
take minutes of the meeting conclusions and recommendations. Type up
file and distribute the minutes to participants within 24 hours of
holding the meeting; Maintain an update diary of the appointments and
participal activities of the water and sanitation project manager; Complete
administrative procedures such as timesheet, travel request of water
sanitation staff; translate documents or conversation as required by
watsan project manager from English into bahasa
and vice versa; Perform other unspecified, general office/ admin task
as requested by the watsan project manager; Coordinate with the office
manager regarding administrative support for the watsan program on a
regular basis.
Qualification and Requirement :
Minimum diploma degree, minimum 4 years working experience as an admin
asst; fluent in Bahasa and English; A good command of word processing
and basic skill in spreadsheet; Excellent typing and computers skills.
Compound Assistant Based Calang ( 1 person )
Specific DUTIES responsibilities and accountabilities :
To ensures accommodation compound will be running properly well,
include to develop a proper compound operating & managing system; To managing
and managing maintenance and cleaners staffs include supervise those
staffs; To managing all assets in accommodation compound; To managing
and arranging on house hold items ( purchasing, keeping/stocking,etc); To
mamaging and arranging accommodation for visitors / guest; Willing
working on out office hours and / or office days.
Qualification and Requirement :
Minimum graduated from Diploma ( 3 years diploma ) on administrative or
Hotel management; Minimum 1 year experience on the same position; Have
good knowledge and practice on managing the coumpound both on
operational and maintain; Have knoeledge and practice skill on managing
compound utilities; Have degree of languages proficiency both on Bahasa and
English ( written and Spoken)
