Oxfam GB Humanitarian Office in Jogjakarta is looking for a Disaster Risk
Reduction Trainer to conduct the following activities in the near future:
Facilitate emergency responses management workshop for Oxfam GB's
partners, Local Government, and Organizers Facilitate workshop participants to increase knowledge and skill in
emergency management, humanitarian response standard, gender, etc.
Facilitate workshop participant to develop an effective strategy to
mobilize community, strengthen and or establish village emergency response
committee, and increase community sensitisation
Facilitate workshop participant to increase knowledge and skills in
mobilize village emergency committee on how to identify hazard,
vulnerability, capacity, risk, emergency need, and action plan to reduce
flood risk in emergency situation.

Personnel Specifications
Essential:
Degree in social, geography, disaster management, or any discipline
relating to emergency management, Disaster Risk Reduction/Disaster
Management. Experiences in managing DRR project or community-based project
could substitute for a formal qualification.
Minimum one-year experiences in Disaster Management/DRR project, and/or
community organizing.
Sensitivity, diplomacy, tact, good communication skills, together with the
capacity to remain calm under pressure and not lose sight of strategic
priorities.
Well developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be
flexible in demanding solutions. The post holder should also be at ease in
working with local community/stakehold ers.
The ability to present concise reports, sometimes a short notice,
reflecting the problems and possible solutions for particular situations.
Flexibility, willingness to travel at short notice, over the course of the
deployment, and to work in difficult circumstances.
Good understanding of humanitarian protection standard, SPHERE minimum
standards, gender issues and Code of conduct.
A commitment to the aims and objectives of Oxfam GB.
Sensitivity to working within a divided society and to political,
religious or social tensions.
Demonstrated experience of integrated gender and diversity issues into
food security programmes.
Strong oral and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia
Computer literacy

Desirable:
Strong oral and written communication skills in English will be
advantageous
Previous working experience with Oxfam GB or INGO
Experience in emergency relief programmes
Mature and professional attitude and approach
