Specific DUTIES responsibilities and accountabilities 1. Implement/maintain Federation standard logistics practices and procedures in Nias operation.
2. Support the Procuring of goods and services on behalf of the delegation following Federation standard practises and keeping documentation to full audit trail standards, and provide advice/ negotiate contracts required by the delegation for goods and services.
3. Plan and organise the delegation transportation requirements, implement/maintain use of transportation management system for any Federation owned vehicles and assist HoSO in planning best use of vehicles.
4. Plan, organise and maintain any stores/warehouses containing Federation stocks, to Federation standards, providing timely stock reports to HoSO and security to stores to keep losses to minimum.
5. Organise the transportation, clearances and other formalities for incoming goods to ensure the timely receipt into delegation stores/warehouses.
6. Provide timely advice and technical support on logistics issues to other functions within the delegation.
7. Support, train and develop national staff and volunteers.
8. Liaise with international, government and non-government agencies and collaborate with them as appropriate.
9. Produce regular, timely and accurate narrative and financial reports for the Federation and for donors. Any other task assigned by the manager

Qualifications
Basic Delegates Training Course or equivalent knowledge
Professional qualification in logistics X
Experience
Experience of managing and supporting staff x
Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent
X Experience of working for a humanitarian aid organisation in a developing country
X 3 years professional experience in general logistics, including warehousing, transportation, customs clearance & procurement X
Skills
Self-supporting in computers (Windows, spreadsheets, wordprocessing, Federation software packages) X
Red Cross/ Red Crescent - knowledge of policy and procedure, organisation and activities. X
Valid driving licence (manual gears).
X Language- Proficiency in English (written and spoken). X
Good skills in organising, planning and administrasion. X
Basic accounting skills X
Precise and analytical worker X
Flexible and able to manage problems on his/ her own X
Team player X
