Established in 1888 Arbeiter-Samariter- Bund (ASB) is one of Germany's longest established and largest social welfare organisations. ASB currently has a portfolio of over 100 projects in relief, rehabilitation and community based development. ASB entered Indonesia following the May 2006 earthquake and has established projects in emergency relief; reconstruction and training; information and outreach; disaster preparedness and livelihoods sectors.
As part of an expansion of its Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programming ASB is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals for the following position: Team Leader `DRR for children with disabilities within the inclusive education system' Location: Yogyakarta Office Duration: 15 month contract (to be confirmed and subject to completion of two months probation period) Vacancy: National position. Summary of job profile/responsibil ities: To lead a team up to 10 staff in order to deliver comprehensive DRR training within inclusive schools as well as to other key stakeholders in DIY. The team leader reports directly to the programme manager. Key requirements: 1.Minimum Bachelor's degree (Further degree preferred) 2.Minimum 5 years working in fields of education / training / capacity building essential. 3.Minimum 3 years management experience essential. 4.Knowledge of Disability issues and Inclusive school policies a clear advantage. 5.Excellent reporting skills required (in English) 6.Excellent spoken English essential 7.Knowledge of DRR an asset 8.Experience of engagement and negotiation with a range of stakeholders 9.Financial management experience an asset 10.Computer literate 11.Able to multi-task and work to achieve tight deadlines 12.Able to work in high-demand environment as required 13.Willingness to travel as and when required 14.Able to work independently and under own initiative as well as part of a team in a multicultural environment ASB is an equal opportunities employer.
