THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION AT THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT IN JAKARTA TECHNICAL OFFICER (TO) – Investment and Enterprise (IE) Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the Bureau of Economic Integration and Finance and the direct supervision of the Head of Investment and Enterprise Unit (IEU), TO IE will provide technical and administrative support to facilitate and coordinate activities and projects relating to Small Medium Enterprise (SME), industrial cooperation, ASEAN Business Organizations, as well as investment promotions, expositions, missions and publications/ materials for promotions. He/she will assist in providing inputs for investment issues/investment negotiations in relation to Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) He/she will also be required to assist in the facilitation and servicing of meetings, undertake researches, and perform administrative duties. Requirements: At least Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or other related disciplines; and At least 3–5 years relevant working experience. Familiarity with governmental/ international organizations and business community organizations is an added advantage. General qualifications: Excellent English language skills (written and oral); Proficient in Microsoft office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access); Able to work in a multicultural team with minimum supervision; Able to multi-task and work irregular and long hours; Able to travel in a short notice, as and when required; and Knowledge on ISO 9001: 2000 is an advantage. Remuneration and Benefits: Upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the successful candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract. Selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic monthly salary (starting from Rp. 5,000,000), monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation insurance, and an annual bonus of a month’s basic salary.
