Spanish Red Cross Society (SRC) Indonesian Delegation was established after the Tsunami in December 2005
in order to assist Indonesian Red Cross Society (PMI) in its operation for the reconstruction
of the Province. Assuming the role of Participating National Society (PNS), SRC
works under the coordination of International Federation of Red Cross and Red
Crescent (IFRC), supporting PMI to ensure its quality services delivery. In all
aspect of implementation, it provides capacity development services to PMI and
implementing partners.

Sub-delegation is seeking for experienced persons to join WatSan Projectas Supervisor (3 Positions)
CODE: Spv-W-1108
General:The SRC
Supervisor will be the responsible of follow up of construction works in
Watsan Projects on field under Project Officersupervision,
according to the guidelines and decisions of SRC Watsan Delegates. Follow up
technical implementation and planning on field. He/ she has to supports the
Field Manager on construction projects; Manages and coordinates the scheduling
execution and oversees field installation safety and quality control, ensure
project schedule goals are achieved. Ability in supervisory methods and
practices: to plan, organize, schedule, assign and evaluate the work of
monitors (essential).
Main
duties :
1. To supervise the construction process of appropriate Watsan facilities as per design and specification. Able to make technical decision on field. He will be the ultimate responsible for any site technical decision regarding the project in mutual understanding, cooperation and sharing of information between constructor dan SRC.
2. Maintains constant general inspection of the work as construction progresses and keep diary of the important condition and happening on the field.
3. To check and approves that the required quality and quantity of materials including workmanship has meet the technical specification and BoQ.
4. Approve the work of construction, Control check list of the progress to prepare report to Project Officer.
5. Makes daily report to Project Officer / Construction Delegate based on actual condition on site. Etc.
Requirement :
* Degree in civil engineering, sanitary engineering, Public Health Engineering; or related fields.
* Minimum of 3 years experience on civil construction in community base water and sanitation; preferably in humanitarian organisations.
* Hands-on supervisory experience is required
* Experience as a community facilitator will be a plus.
* Computer skills including Microsoft word and excel
* Willingness to travel to the field frequently.
* Must maintain a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
